Canada's Largest Hotel Freshens Up With A $25 Million Facelift
The Chelsea Hotel, Toronto, Canada’s largest hotel with 1,590 rooms, have invested 25 million dollars to give the massive location a fantastic facelift.
The most extensive investment in a decade covers 600 guest rooms in the Executive Tower, hotel corridors throughout the hotel, modernization and refurbishment of the Executive Tower elevators. There’s a refurbishment of Market Garden Restaurant including new carpet and furniture, and their full-service restaurant, Elm Street Bar & Lounge, has also experienced an enhancement, specifically to double the seating capacity and the addition of new furniture and lighting.
Executive guest room redesigns include:
New carpet, wall covering, drapes, lighting, mattresses, televisions and artwork.
Case good surfaces covered with a stone cap
Bathroom lighting and tub glazing
Ideal for leisure and or business stays, the Executive Tower is characterized by calming colours, natural light and wood/marble furnishings. Starting at 325 sq. ft., guests can opt for one king or two double beds. Room amenities include; private balcony access in the majority of rooms, Nespresso® coffee machines, 50” flat screen TV, in-room safe, electric kettle, mini-fridges and views of the downtown core.
Corridor refurbishments for The Chelsea Hotel includes replacement of carpet, wall vinyl as well as refreshing trim and doors.
For the late fall 2023, they’re embarking on a Wi-Fi upgrade investment of C$2.3 million and will offer guests a significant improvement for streaming multiple devices.
