How to Spend a Delightful Day in Kingsville, Ontario

Published May 6th, 2025

I made friends with a stranger in Kingsville at Red Lantern Coffee on a Sunday morning. He was visiting his parents and down for the weekend from Toronto and it turns out, we’ve got a lot in common.
I did my first kayaking trip of 2025 here and struck up conversation with a fellow kayaker in the parking lot who raved about how good the waters are here.
I chatted with the owner of Inn 31 who enthusiastically shared why he loves Kingsville and as a lifelong resident, gave me insight I’d never find in any book or online resource.
These are the cool things that happen in a small town. Well, they happen to me.
And it all happened in the span of a day.

If you’re in the Toronto-ish area, Kingsville is an excellent destination for one, two or a few days. If Southern Ontario is part of your travels, I encourage you to spend some time here.
The food scene is bustling, the kayaking/canoeing is stellar and there’s a rich history here via Jack Miner.
Who’s Jack Miner? I’ll explain that in the video below.

Go to Kingsville and embrace what this charming town has to offer and use this as either your itinerary or use it as a guide to spend a delightful day here.
